LuninuX OS 12.00 Beta 2
The second beta release of LuninuX OS 12.00, an Ubuntu-based distribution with GNOME Shell instead of Unity, is now available for testing: "The
decision to bring pure GNOME to LuninuX OS in the second release Beta
has proved beneficial - you will find many improvements, such as speed,
responsiveness, stability and less resource usage. The login prompt is
GDM and there are three sessions, GNOME Shell, GNOME Classic, and GNOME
Fallback. Many of the applications included is Firefox, Banshee,
LibreOffice, Liferea, GIMP, Cairo Dock, Docky, WINE and most of the
multimedia plugins. If there is a problem with the auto-login for the
live mode, select a session and type 'luninux' as the user name and
leave the password blank, then login." Here is the brief release announcement. Download: LuninuXOS-12.00-Desktop-i386-Beta-2.iso (1,350MB, MD5, torrent), LuninuXOS-12.00-Desktop-amd64-Beta-2.iso (1,505MB, MD5, torrent).
